them while others begin from the material itself, constantly trying to transport the magic of the initial idea into something physical and real.

I believe that the best thing for a designer is in that phase where from something intangible, an idea, an intuition, something tangible is born, something you can see and touch. This phase is very important because it is then that you realise if you are going in the right direction, if the thing “works”, if you need to readjust, or if it’s a dead end.
The chef table was created in this way: I tried to think about the legs of a table as if I was making them from paper, by working on the folds of the material, on how to make it stiff, creating a play on simple, yet highly effective facets.
I live and work in the province of Ancona.
I have for many years worked with various companies and more recently I teach packaging.
I love nature. I have just bought a house with a wood in front of my studio, where I like to spend time alone or take a walk, listening to the sound of leaves blowing in the wind.
I think that nature teaches us a lot. My motto is: if nature has done it then there will be a reason.
I like collecting records and listening to music, possibly accompanied by a nice glass of wine.

The Chef table is inspired by modelling with paper. By working on the folds of the material, on how to make it stiff, creating a play on simple, yet highly effective facets. The structure of the Chef table, consisting of dynamic prisms, adds interest to the extendible table which can be produced in a range of finishes. Chef combines tradition and experimentation, beauty and practicality.
