Three projects, three visions, one international recognition spanning languages, materials, and research. At the 19th edition of the International Design Awards in Bangkok, one of the most respected international competitions dedicated to contemporary design, set within the iconic ICONSIAM during Bangkok Design Week, Bontempi received three awards celebrating design excellence and a balanced dialogue between function and aesthetic expression.

The Astra lamp received the IDA Gold Award, the Opera chair was awarded the IDA Silver Award, and the Kaleido table earned the IDA Bronze Award, confirming the brand’s strong and consistent design vision across different product categories.

The three awarded products belong to different areas of the Bontempi collection – lighting, seating and tables – yet share the same design philosophy, based on formal research, material quality, manufacturing excellence and a distinctive aesthetic identity. A coherent approach conceived for a contemporary living, addressing both residential and contract environments.

The IDA awards highlight Bontempi’s ongoing commitment to developing refined, functional and distinctive design solutions, supported by a fully Made in Italy production, ensuring high standards of quality, craftsmanship and industrial expertise.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2007, the International Design Awards recognise excellence in product design, architecture, interior design, graphic design and fashion, celebrating projects that stand out for vision, quality and international relevance.
